In the mythical Andes the laws of general relativity, which govern space and time, break down. In a city, lying in the shadow of a dream, the journey of a young boy and his mysterious companion, begins. John Rios creates a dream that returns the dead and puts them back into the world of the senses. From time to time, courage, faith, desire, and above all, love slip through the curtain drawn by an artificial world to help balance the forces.

The real past and present seep out into this boy’s life with the help of “Her,” despite the horrors of a war that seem to engulf everything around him and his family. Thousands of his people have been sent to the fathomless abyss, and surviving becomes his destiny.

Authorbio:

John Rios was born in Medellin, Colombia, and now resides in Smyrna, Ga. Besides writing, he is also a prolific painter of magical situations. He is in the process of finishing his first English novel, “The Staurolite Factor,” and is assembling a collection of his poems to be called “Remedies for Petrified Souls.”
