TEST THE MARKET WITH POD

POD is a relatively inexpensive way to test the waters for your book, allowing you to print copies as needed. If your book finds a market and is selling, we can also offer you the opportunity to do an offset run, greatly reducing your cost per book.

So try one of our POD programs along with a distribution and marketing/promotion package that is second to none, and then talk to us about printing in quantity.

There are so many reasons to publish your book with Llumina Press. We offer a reputation for publishing quality books, personal service, the best author discounts in the industry and the highest royalties (ours are based on list price). In addition, we offer bookstore returnability through Ingram (and no loss in royalties) as well as bookstore representation.

What more could you ask for?

NEWS - NEWS - NEWS:

authors worldwide! Prepare yourselves for hurricanes, blizzards, and… press releases?

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005: There is a little Miss Cleo in all of us, and because of that we have the ability to prepare for what we already know will happen. We know that there will be a hurricane threat this summer. This winter we can predict a blizzard. And guess what? I’m seeing an election coming near the end of 2008 that will bring forth a new President for the USA.

TWO LLUMINA AUTHORS ARE RUNNERS-UP IN 2005 DIY BOOK FESTIVAL

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER  2005:  The Ice Floe by Joyce Tracksler is a runner-up for the FICTION section of the 2005 DIY Book Festival, and Raped Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt is a runner-up for the BIOGRAPHY section. These books were chosen from hundreds of other POD books.

A MUCH NEEDED RETURN

OF COMMON SENSE

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005:  The world is out of control…. Today's political atmosphere is uncommonly edgy. People are choosing sides, for or against, the present administration. Our private industries care only about the bottom line, certainly not about creating superior products. Organizations and government agencies  are chock full of pen pushers and petty dictators jealously controlling their minor dynasties. No matter where we look, chaos seems to prevail. What we really need in this country is a return to common sense…

PROMINENT LABORATORY DISCOVERS

IMMORTALITY GENE!

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005:  Discovery of the immortality gene makes it possible to fight the ravages of passing years on the human body, to fight ruthless time. Scientists have created organisms that do not age and are ready for human trials.  But they should proceed with caution because social, political and medical consequences of human immortality could be far-reaching.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A MAYOR IS ON A MISSION?

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005: The news today is rife with stories of politicians who have become embroiled in hot-issue scandals in their own communities. Whether some of the stories are true or not is moot; sometimes the allegation is enough. Mayor Lambert C. Mims found himself accused, tried, sentenced and imprisoned.

LOOKING FOR STONES

ON THE ROAD

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005: What do you do when the Earth forms a friendship with you? When you feel a connection so astounding it changes your life? How do you ignore a stone calling out to you, telling you where it needs to go and that you must take it there? If you're Marian Larsen, you don't ignore the request, you follow it joyously and with passion as it leads you where it will.

TIME UPON TIME TELLS A TALE

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER  2005: In today's world, anything is possible. Scientists have already implanted microchips into human beings for identification purposes. Others have developed a way to turn common bacteria into tiny machines which transmit light. Yet others have discovered the means to create a sensitive artificial hand, which provides patients with active feeling in their new prosthetic limb. Seeing the strides in technical advancement, it's perfectly logical to think the premise put forth by El Tiempo tiene Tiempo might also be true…

JOKES,

INTERNET WARNINGS,

AND WARM FUZZIES!

CAPTURING MOMENTS

 IN TIME

Fort Lauderdale, DECEMBER 2005:  Action – Reaction!  We've all heard of the shocking repercussions when people get angry in today's world. Terrible things happen – such as Domestic Violence, Schoolmate Snipers and Road Rage – events horrible enough to scare anyone! But, Indra Gupta has it right. Instead of stating her feelings and possibly infuriating someone; she creates poetry, putting everything on paper. Nicely, neatly and quietly.

HOME TO FREEDOM

Fort Lauderdale, DECEMBER 2005: With a war raging in Iraq, as well as in other areas of the globe, many of those forced from their homes can understand and sympathize with the ordeal author Heidi Howell endured. The surprising thing, actually, is that victims of war are ultimately able to pull their lives back together and live in peace once again.

BUILDING A HOUSE

IN STONE

FORT LAUDERDALE, DECEMBER 2005: It can't be an easy thing to erect a building, any kind of building. But when you figure into the mix concerns of saving money and doing-it-yourself, it becomes almost impossible to chart the logistics. Thankfully, Chris Proulx  has been there, done that and took home the T-shirt!

THE 7 MYTHS ARE BROUGHT TO LIGHT

FORT LAUDERDALE,  DECEMBER  2005:  When one thinks of evangelical Christians in today's political world, the first name that springs to mind is none other than G. W. Bush. Scattered throughout our daily newspapers are articles illustrating how disenchanted the country, nay, the world, is with the United State's current administration. Are the lies, broken promises, corruption and criminal indictments of our top politicians due only to individual foibles or is this an indication of how strongly the political scene is tainted by evangelical influence?

  MANCHU

Fort Lauderdale, DECEMBER  2005:  Japan, the 1930s. Women's rights simply didn't exist. Daughters of the lowliest peasant to the highest noble found themselves as mere chattel for men's pleasure or power play. That such a fate should befall Hiro Saga, an enlightened and privileged Japanese noblewoman, was beyond her imagination. Forced marriages have been prevalent in Asia and Africa throughout history and in many places still are. Few have been as artfully contrived as that of Hiro Saga to the Chinese emperor's brother - a marriage designed by the Japanese miltary to change the face of Asia's greatest imperial system. Although the subject of literature and film in the Far East for several decades the incredible story of Hiro Saga is unpublished and unknown in the western world.
