FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Llumina Press Proudly Announces The Release of
Shadow’s
Pride:
An
Inspirational Account of
Courage,
Determination and Love
(Based On The True Story of Areion)
By
Roland Stanzione and Gabriella Gafni
A story for all ages, Shadow’s Pride brings to light many life lessons
derived from striving to achieve, the quest for acceptance and recognition, and
the overwhelming and enduring nature of love.
The protagonists, two entities struggling to find their place in the world – and
each other – narrate, in turn, the events of their true experiences, with
poignancy reminiscent of “Black Beauty.”
The first-person (or “first-horse”) perspective of Areion (together with that of
his guardian, Roland Stanzione) accentuates the narrative’s verisimilitude by
enabling its first-hand equine observer to emote and describe the events of his
life and how he perceives things and people around him.
Animals feel and express but, often, we do not listen or otherwise shield
ourselves from their message.
Things are not always as they appear, and those with a dream who dare to live it
find a fulfillment uncommon and unsurpassed, despite the vicissitudes of
destiny’s changing winds. Who among
us is immune, and who so isolated and outcast as to deny the dream?
Read Shadow’s Pride and take courage in the story and the power
within you!
The book is not merely another “horse story,” but an encapsulation of that which
every living being faces: fear, conflict, pain, triumph, loss, and the ultimate
understanding that love transcends all.
Shadow’s Pride is a “must read” for anyone who wishes to encounter
the secret that dignity inheres as much in the tiniest leaf as in the fastest
thoroughbred. With such awareness,
the sky clears and the rainbow becomes visible.
