TEST THE MARKET WITH POD

POD is a relatively inexpensive way to test the waters for your book, allowing you to print copies as needed. If your book finds a market and is selling, we can also offer you the opportunity to do an offset run, greatly reducing your cost per book.

So try one of our POD programs along with a distribution and marketing/promotion package that is second to none, and then talk to us about printing in quantity.

There are so many reasons to publish your book with Llumina Press. We offer a reputation for publishing quality books, personal service, the best author discounts in the industry and the highest royalties (ours are based on list price). In addition, we offer bookstore returnability through Ingram (and no loss in royalties) as well as bookstore representation.

NEWS - NEWS - NEWS:

authors worldwide! Prepare yourselves for hurricanes, blizzards, and… press releases?

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006: There is a little Miss Cleo in all of us, and because of that we have the ability to prepare for what we already know will happen. We know that there will be a hurricane threat this summer. This winter we can predict a blizzard. And guess what? I’m seeing an election coming near the end of 2008 that will bring forth a new President for the USA.

A MUCH NEEDED RETURN

OF COMMON SENSE

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006:  The world is out of control…. Today's political atmosphere is uncommonly edgy. People are choosing sides, for or against, the present administration. Our private industries care only about the bottom line, certainly not about creating superior products. Organizations and government agencies  are chock full of pen pushers and petty dictators jealously controlling their minor dynasties. No matter where we look, chaos seems to prevail. What we really need in this country is a return to common sense…

EXAMINING

AMERICA'S CONTROVERSIES

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006:  Sometimes, to see things clearly, you must step away. It is easier to discern the larger picture if you're not right up against the screen.  So it is for author, Ksenija Arsic. While living and studying in Canada, Ksenija's research has helped her to recognize problems in our world's politics. For now, however, she has focused on America…

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A MAYOR IS ON A MISSION?

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006: The news today is rife with stories of politicians who have become embroiled in hot-issue scandals in their own communities. Whether some of the stories are true or not is moot; sometimes the allegation is enough. Mayor Lambert C. Mims found himself accused, tried, sentenced and imprisoned.

LISTEN TO THE

ROAR IN THE EAST

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006: In this mad, mad world, terrorism has become an abhorrent, yet increasingly common fact of life and every sane person worries about the next target. Yet, as with the Cold War, ultimately we must find some way to relieve our fear. In A Roar in the East, author Steven Lusk takes a lighthearted look at US intelligence's war on terror. Along the way he plays with political correctness, stereotyping and ham-fisted spies.

A DAY WITHOUT YESTERDAY - FOR KIDS... AND ADULTS!

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006:   As a child, I knew nothing about the Universe. I loved seeing the stars, in all their twinkling glory, but had no idea how they came to be up there. Although the Big Bang theory was first suggested in 1927, by the Belgian priest Georges Lemaître, it wasn't until the discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation in 1965 that the Big Bang was regarded as the best theory of the origin and the evolution of the cosmos. Having said that, it's not hard to see why I still didn’t get it. However, Geeta Pati has made understanding easy.

STARS OF DAVID

Fort Lauderdale, FEBRUARY 2006: Dysfunctional families strive to keep their conflicts behind closed doors, rarely letting outsiders know of the anger and bitterness present in what should be a close, loving family. As in all aspects of life, when what should be honorable and a supportive strength goes terribly wrong, horrific things can happen. In Beth Schorr Jaffe's novel, secrets and lies run rampant and it takes the whole family's courage and valor to restore their confidence and love.

exciting things happen when one

travels with horses

Fort Lauderdale, february 2006: Equus caballus – even their binomial name sounds enchanting. Horses have been charismatic, proud inhabitants of our ever-changing planet for eons, although they've only been widely domesticated since 2000 BCE. Imagine the elation the very first rider felt as he straddled the broad, muscular back of his newly-tamed companion and raced across the plains like the wind. Lucky are those who, in our modern, technological world, still work and play with these magnificent, spell-binding animals.

BUILDING A HOUSE

IN STONE

FORT LAUDERDALE, FEBRUARY 2006: It can't be an easy thing to erect a building, any kind of building. But when you figure into the mix concerns of saving money and doing-it-yourself, it becomes almost impossible to chart the logistics. Thankfully, Chris Proulx  has been there, done that and took home the T-shirt!

SEARCHING FOR THE VICTORIAN GHOST

FORT LAUDERDALE,  FEBRUARY 2006:  Although many people do not believe in ghosts, there are too many unexplained incidents taking place in today's world to blithely disregard them. This week in Orlando, FL, a couple, about to move their Japanese restaurant to the famous Church Street Station building, have backed out of their lease. The reason? Ghosts are haunting the edifice. According to the renter's attorney the apparitions are restless and getting in the way. Meanwhile, psychics, mediums and paranormal investigators of all types are trying to gain permission to look into the phenomenon. Mitchell Angell can tell them about ghosts. Especially one very special Victorian ghost…

  A JOURNEY FAR AWAY

Fort Lauderdale, FEBRUARY 2006:   In this ever changing universe, one thing is constant: the fact that nothing really is constant. For instance, the cold blackness of space, once imagined as endlessly empty, is actually teeming with newly discovered planets. Last month, the Hubble Space Telescope may have found as many as 100 new planets orbiting stars in our galaxy. Could there be life on these planets? Is Marvin, the morose robot of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fame, still complaining on one of these worlds? Perhaps Sammy, Alph and Larry are visiting with him right now.
