Prepare yourselves for hurricanes, blizzards, and… press releases?

There is a little Miss Cleo in all of us, and because of that we have the ability to prepare for what we already know will happen. We know that there will be a hurricane threat this summer. This winter we can predict a blizzard. And guess what? I’m seeing an election coming near the end of 2008 that will bring forth a new President for the USA.
This clairvoyance can be very helpful in writing your press release. It is important that your PR begins with a “hook” that relates to something currently happening in the news. Many of us are aware of what is taking place in the world at present, but how can we use a hook from the future? (This is where our astounding cryptesthesia comes into play.)
PR is an ongoing process, so get your press release done and out of the way, before the event you’re relating it to even happens! Does your book involve religion? I’m almost positive that the holidays will come this year…and next for that matter. School or teens? There will definitely be another graduating class this year as well as problems with the way the schools are run. War? Well, there must be one going on somewhere.
So go ahead, pre-write your press releases, and let your inner psychic come out! Just don’t open up any hotlines for this…
