Fort Lauderdale, June 2008: Celebrities in the news flit from Hollywood to Monte Carlo to the latest "in" spot with paparazzi on their tail. Author Rene D. Egle has been in the hospitality business for over twenty years. In his new book, Hotel-Untold Stories, Egle gives the curious an insider's look at the hotel industry through the eyes of Andre Schwarz. Andre Schwarz began his career in a small luxury hotel in Germany, a career that would lead him from Europe to Asia and to the Middle East. From humble beginnings as a waiter to his first managerial position in London, Andre lives through the many exciting experiences that in a five-star hotel are everyday occurrences. They happened then, they are still happening now, and they will continue to happen as long as there are luxury hotels. Some of Andre’s anecdotes are funny, others are shocking, but they all have one thing in common—they are true. While the stories, experiences and anecdotes are true, the names of hotels, people, and places had to be changed to protect the innocent.
