FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LitMatch.net Announces Agent-Updated Listings

LitMatch.net, the largest and most complete database of literary agents and agencies on the web, has announced the addition of Agent-Updated Listings to its ever-growing array of features.  Over 150 agents have participated by updating their listings and the listings of their agencies, with more being added every week.  The result is an unprecedented level of accuracy and a more reliable search experience for LitMatch’s users.

“When writers are looking for an agent, they want to know the information they find is accurate, and the best way to ensure accurate information is to get it right from the source,” said Christopher Hawkins, creator and lead developer of LitMatch.  “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this feature to our users and help them search our site with confidence.”

LitMatch’s users can use the site’s Targeted Search function to quickly find agents who have updated their own listing information.  They can search just for listings that are Agent-Updated, or combine with other listing details such as genres, geographic location, and whether an agent is currently accepting queries.  Agent-Updated Listings are clearly marked with the date the agent reviewed the listing.

“The response we have received from the agents has been overwhelmingly positive,” said LitMatch’s Data Governance Manager, Kris Matsumura-Hawkins, who is responsible for leading the Agent-Update effort.  “It’s been a great experience interacting with and getting to know the agents we list and I’m very grateful to every one of them for helping us provide the highest quality of information to our users.”
