Letter from the Editor

Hello readers of Llumina's E Writer Magazine! It has been a long time since the last issue and your articles have been piling up. I am flattered to have been hired for the new position of Editor for this magazine. For those who are not familiar with me, my name is Dan Neumann and I am a Lluminary myself. I wrote the science fiction novel, "OMA: One Man Army," as a fifteen year old and now am "sweet sixteen."

I have a new vision for this magazine. I wish to transform this traditionally informative medium into a canvas of community. Or, in other words, this site will no longer be about bragging to family and friends that an article of yours is published; it will be read by other individuals. This may begin simply by contributors reading other patron's work... but I am confident that this will evolve into a home base for Llumina writers in between publishing periods to stay up-to-date with our favorite company.

In addition, it is my belief that we should all provide a supportive environment for each other. This means we no longer need to be afraid of critics, but welcome them. A new section of the site entitled "Writer's Workshop" will be experimented with. Here you can submit Short Stories, Poetry, Chapters of your current novel, or Essays. You will then have the option of listing your e-mail address so that other Lluminaries can review your work. This is a pilot program and I encourage everyone to take part in it.

I will also begin a new policy of commenting on all articles coming into the site. I will try my best to find errors to correct, but in most cases I will just be expressing my appreciation. I want to establish an editor/contributor relationship that will enable new friendships. In fact, I am proud to have met many of you already. Do not be a stranger. Send me an e-mail, about anything, to orlobooks@verizon.net

This is a turning point for E Writer Magazine. I expect all of you to bookmark this site and stop by often. And, I encourage everyone outside of Llumina to keep stopping by. In either case, this magazine is not just about reading about upcoming events... it concerns getting involved and maintaining a heard voice. Thank you for visiting E Writer and keep iLluminating your surroundings!
