FORT LAUDERDALE, April 2007: Take Me Out to the Ball Game! is a phrase as home-grown as Mom’s apple pie. Over the course of history, baseball has proven to be the most popular sport of all time. The earliest mention of the game was in a small booklet, published in Great Britain in 1744, while the first fully-professional American team was not formed until 1869.
